Hi Uma,

Looks like you're unnecessarily worrying. He's Ok with his diet and is quite active. That can only be good. At 8 months, if he's curios to learn to stand by himself, it displays a healthy growth in him. He'll want to move abt all by himself. Give him some time and encourage him by placing his favourite toys at a little distance. in wanting to grab the toy, he'll ry to crawl or belly-crawl and get there.

There are no 'bad mothers'. There can be worried mothers, confused mothers, scared mothers.. but never bad mothers.

Dont let your mother-in-laws words bother you. As long as your baby is healthy and learning small skills at his own pace.. all's well. NEVER EVER COMPARE YOUR KIDS MILESTONES WITH OTHERS! today.. u'll think he doesn't crawl , give him a month or two and he'll start walking. My daughter too crawled on this bed for about a month. Once we started putting her on the floor.. she seemed to like crawling. By 11 months.. she was walking already! :)

The first few years of your baby's life are going to be the most precious. Don't lose your golden moments.. by comparing your kids. As far as your MIL is considered... keep telling her what your baby HAS achieved and she'll stop cribbing abt what he HASN'T.

take care and Enjoy

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
