if your baby isn't able to hold his head up steadily by the time he's about 6 months old and hasn't started learning to prop himself up on his arms, bring it up the next time you talk to his doctor.

Babies develop skills differently, some more quickly than others, but head control is essential to sitting independently, and sitting is the key to crawling, standing, and learning to walk.

Keep in mind that premature babies may reach this and other milestones later than their peers.

you mentioned he dont want to sit, does it mean that he was sitting before and now doesnt want to sit or have not started sitting with your help ?
please check with your dr and talk about it if by 6 months, your baby cannot sit with help !
since your baby is 7months he should be able to sit wioth support atleast.
dont worry if its psible to make him sit atleast for 1 min,,,thts a great start..
check the below post and posts around it to nidhi & indu about sitting,,their babies had almost same features as you talked about.

however there are no specific guidelines or milestones but there are specific warning signs on baby physical development. trust your instincts. If something seems odd or wrong to you about the way your baby moves or behaves, ask about it to your dr. After all, you know your child best !
Good Luck & take care

hello jayashree
dont get afraid and dont loose hopes, your son is absolutely fine, and give him the proper tuition and avoid more playing periods of his, and you should teach him at home when you will get free time.... - praglabh [View Message]
