Due Date Club September 2007:More swelling in one leg

I had recently join this club ... i had completed my 6 month ... i feels that my one leg (right) had a swelling more then other .. i m working as a software Eng so i have to sit at least for 8 hors a day.

is anybody feels the same problem?? i m little bit worried abt it .. is it harmful and should i need to take any precautions??

Hi Neha,
Today I m visting this grp for the 1st time..yes I am also suffering exactly from same problem wat u have....I have reduced salt in my diet to great extent..i almost dont eat it..since last 8 days...till now no effect as such...lets continue it for some more days...wat ur doc has adviced for this prob?

Hello neha,
Mou has given u sum nice tips,u follow them n I' m sure ur leg swelling wud be reduced.I have one more tip,while sleeping,sleep on ur left side,n keep a pillow inbetween ur 2 legs..This also will reduce ur leg swelling...

swelling of feet

Hello neha,
Welcome to our board.The swelling of feet is common during pregnancy due to the excess flow of blood and sometimes due to retention of water in our body. But if u have severe swelling then please get in touch with ur doctor. The other things u can do is
-elevate ur legs whenever possible
-don' t sit at a stretch for long time,can walk a bit within ur office
-at home u can soak ur legs in luke warm water,add a pinch of salt to it
-don' t eat pickle,papad,chips.
If ur face and hands are also swelling,check ur pressure also.Try to folow a healthy diet.
