hi everyone!
i' m in my 23rd week right now and have started to feel the baby kicks. from the time i started feeling them, i' ve felt them almost everyday-somedays more and somedays less. but last 2 days (sat n sunday), i hardly felt anything. so today morning, i went to my doc to check and found out that she is out of town and they sent me to the hospital. there, they monitored the baby' s heartbeat for 20 mins and said everything is ok and it is normal to not feel movements on some days. so it was a big relief.

those of u all who have been feeling the movements clearly now-do u all feel it everyday and is it normal to feel less or no movements on some days at this stage? do u all monitor the movements or is it still too early for that? i did read somewhere that in the 3rd trimester, u shud start minitoring and shud feel it everyday. but since i was already feeling it everyday, i got a bit scared when i didnt feel anything. pls share if u all have any information.

thanks
take care
rakhi

Yes, Some days I Can feel the movements very often. Some day I don' t feel anything.

Normally I feel the movement when I sit and after having lunch. When I lie down, it is not moving. So I enjoy sitting in order to enjoy the movement

Cheers,
Rev

Hi!!

I am also in 23rd week now and I started feeling the movements in 19th week only. It' s such a nice feeling as we all know. But it' s just normal not to feel the movements at all for a couple of days. There could be 2 reasons. One is since the baby is just like us..it has its high energy and low energy days.Sometimes its just to tired to move around and sits there doing nothing. And one more reason could is as said rightly in the earlier post is its moving while you are sleeping.so just don' t panic. My doctor sais its worth to concerned about the movements when you don' t feel them for one week continuously.else its doing just fine:-))
Enjoy the kicking and boxing!!
Mansi

Rakhi, the same thing happened to me, I' m 24 weeks and some days I feel the movements a lot but then for a day baby was very quiet. Quiet but not completely silent. I got worried. Today it' s okay again. I read somewhere that you only need to start monitoring after week 28, I' m only week 24 yet. Drink a fizzy drink if you' re anxious that will get the baby moving. Don' t worry I know it' s easier said than done. luv Shols

HI Rakhi,
I am in my 23rd week too and my dr says you should start monitoring movements from 3rd trimester.. so DONT panic .. Baby might move when you are fast sleep, when you dont notice anything ..

I also enquired dr how often should we feel the movements.. and she said the samething some days you might feel somedays you might not.. so dont worry and be happy..
