Hi All,

My 2mnths daughter follows a schedule of feeding after every 3 hrs the whole day and night.
But the problem is she doesnt sleep for 5 hrs every night from 10' o clock till 3' o clock irrespective of weather she has slept at daytime or not.At that time she wants the pacifier or someone to carry her and swing just to sooth her otherwise she cries.I am really worried as she does it every night and this disturbs our sleep too.

my reply may be a bit late but I would be glad if my reply could help someone else who may be going through the same problem.

There is a wonderful book - Baby sense (Bought it from Om Book House, Vasant Vihar, Delhi). From it, I learn' t that incase you keep the evenings quiet and without much of activity for the baby, the colic can be eliminated. TV viewing in the evening for some strange reason tends to add to the baby getting colicky at night. I have a seven month old baby. When he was around 4 - 5 weeks old, he would also cry for 3 - 4 hours every night (12.00 am to 3.00 am). After reading this book, we made his evenings very quiet. Would play with him but not make too much of noise, no TV or music and it really worked for us. His crying just went away. You may like to try it. I hope it works for you.
