Hi Shveta

I am from the July 2004 board.

You can surely have chinese food. But ensure that there is no MSG in the food. You can specify this when you go out to eat in a restaurant and they can make your order without MSG.

Take care
Lakshmi

Shveta,

I too love chinese/Tai dishes and I do have it very often. I am in my 9th month now and so far I had a normal pregnancy and my doc also didnt restrict me from having any type of food.

But like archie its better to avoid fast foods, cola, raw egg and some types of fish which are rich in mercury.

Take care & congrats!

Hi Shveta,
As long as you are comfortable you will not need to avoid any type of food. Word of caution: You may want to stay away of greasy food, these type of food can aggrevate your morning sickness. You should talk to your Dr about sticking or not to Chineese food (may be fine -just confirm).
Eating spicy or craving is fine, I have had the same and my care provider did not prevent me eating these things.

You should stay away from caffinated drinks and raw egg containing stuff.

Hope I am of some help.
Archie
