Name: neeta hello ladies,
I am a very complexed person because I can' speak english fluently. I am not comfortable with those people who are fluent in english. I avoid those people.I don' t want them to make fun of me so I avoid talking in English with them. What shall I do? How to improve my fluency skills? I need tips and tricks for learning fast english. I need valuable suggestions.

joy _of_living replied. neeta first of all stop feeling bad jus bacause u are not comfy with english... its not our mother tongue.. so dont be afraid of makin mistakes... try to use as much as english as possible in your daily dealings at home or with friends who wouldn' t mock at you but will be ready to help... watching movies... is a good idea.. if u cant follow them then u can watch them with sub titles for some days first... gradually you ll grasp the accent and will increase your vocabulory too..... read books novels for enhancing your vocab.... stay cool and enjoy it... then only it ll be fun.. happy learning..... tintu replied. I appreciate your predicaments. As suggested by Dd, please do tune onto news and movie channels, but you need a change in your attitude towards those who speak good English. I am sure there are some who speak good English but do not make fun of those who can not yet. You do need opportunity to speak in English to them and if you take one of them into confidence to practice your English. Buy yourself a rapidex English speaking book, in your own tongue and search in your town for a spoken English school. Do keep writing here and ask people here to correct your grammar and construction of sentences, if you feel comfortable. How old are you? Do you have someone at home who speaks good English? Hi,
Lust go to any video library & browse movie under drama sections. i use to rent it. Also there were some movies on in the afternoon in local tv channels with subtitles so that helps to understand & pick up the words better.
I don´ t remeber any names as it 7-8 yrs ago & also i was in australia, where english is very similar to indian english.
