Difficult but try your luck

Dear Sree,

I am not trying to demotivate you, but I got tired looking for a donor in my caste.

Actually as per indian council you cant advertise looking for a donor in a specific caste.

I did my egg donation at srushti. I tried advertising in dinamalar and dina thanthi which are the most circulated tamil dailies. But they did not take my ad as it was specific to a particular caste.

I later got it done with an anonymous donor. But later after 2 months when I was already pregnant there were 2 donors who were brahmin who got enrolled at the hospital.

What happens is always for good. Now I am 6 months pregnant and only looking forward to get my baby soon.

I understand what you are undergoing, try your luck and you will definitely get your baby soon.

First of all congrats and best wishes. Your advice is well taken. Since we have just started searching for donors (we completed 3 unsucessful IVF cycles this September) we thought of giving a try.

Could you tell us whether you got preg. with the first cycle of donor in Srushti? How many eggs were retrieved from the donor? How many embryos trasnferred? What are the details the doctor generally disclose about the donor? Do we get donors with good educational background? So may queries, but no answer. Anyway we have to go through all these things.

There seems to be no forum for this especially for Indian women.
