i had to revert to formula as my baby was not gaining wt and was born only 2.4 kgs. now he has colic pain and chest congestion. any help to relieve both his problems? he is only20 days old.i also want to know how to increase breast ,ilk raashi replied. for milk ...having oats regularly helps a lot atleast in my case it has helped me a lot iv always had ample milk to satisfy my baby' s apetite...he is 5 months now and only on breast milk. also boil handfull of jeera in water and just dilute this water with normal water and instaed of having plain water have this diluted jeera water daily this also helps...this i have heard not really sure about ...

Me a mom of 6.5 month old now. Ayush used to cry like anything when he was 6-7 weeks. I used to wtach helplessly!! I thought maybe he was hungry and used to give milk, he used to cry even more !! Then one of my friends suggested giving him Himalaya' s Bonnisan syrup. Believe me it worked wonders.. Meanwhile I had read in a book that making the baby sleep on tummy releives the pain. Thats what we tried and the problem was reduced by 50 , rest 50 was contributed by the bonnisan syrup.. I gaVe that syrup intially twice a day 1 spoon at a time and gradually reduced to once an day and stopped completely when he was 3 months old. Touchwood he was fine by then.
I really recommed these two things, as I know how mothers would be feeling looking at their babies cry and when we dont have a solution !!
Note: We also noticed that when Ayush sleeps on his tummy, he sleeps peacefully and longer perios esp because he doesnt get frightnened and wake up..

If ur in india eat lots of dondakaya(telugu) and beerakaya.Eat lots of garlic(cooked).Bread and milk will also help.For colic give ur child ajwain mixed in ur milk.Powder ajwain,just a pinch and squeeze juice out of it using ur milk and ive it in little more milk.Dr.suggested digestive enzymes.
