What do you think of this? Like I started spotting since the 20th and I am still spotting all on TP's and nothing oor very little on pad. Today it is like brown discharge. I did a HPT today but came out neagtive. I called up the doc and she said to come in on Tuesday to do some blood test. Any ideas?? I cramped quite a bit on the 20th and 21st but yesterday and today I have sort of achiness on my laft side of my abdomen. More ideas?? I know you said not to go crazy but it is driving me crazy.

Let me remind you on testing
the hpt must be done with your First Morning Urine as frequent intake of liquid will dilute hCG.
Use of EPT is strongly recommended. Make sure in the night you do not drink at least four hours before you take urine sample to test.

About spotting and period: it's possible with a low probability that while pregnant some girls can spot right on the expected period date, a few continues to have weak period for first trimester or throughout the pregnancy (this is a very very rare so don't worry).

I am glad that Dr. has asked to see her/him on Tuesday and you will sure know the status on Wednesday, more precise and crystal clear.

Till then you got to put up with some patience.

In case you are pregnant it's normal to get some aches on left abdomen. Keep resting in the bed. This is the only solution I can offer. Stay out of caffinated drinks, do not be passive smoker until pregnancy is confirmed or ruled out. Do not eat things with raw eggs.

Unless you relax you are not going to be OK. Bed rest is must!

Talked to Dr.

I talked to my Dr. and she said to consider the spotting as my period and see what happens next cycle. She said sometimes things like this can happen. I asked her if I should do more tests and she said there is no need since the blood test came out negative.

Dear Cheery,
Vaginal discharge is kind of sign of preg. but tests are negative makes it difficult to say. I would believe in test than symptoms. Also one of the many symptoms does not mean anything. So talk to your Dr. and see what he/she will offer.
I would imagine an ultrasound (transvaginal) to examine internally. This will tell things in detail.

Yes, I was referring about the discharge and usually after my period I am usually dry and not until after the 2nd week or so after my period I start getting some discharge.

Is this a vaginal discharge (CM) you are referring to?
Do you start CM this early in your cycles?

Spotting for four days is not an implantation bleeding and mostly it was a weaker flow and may that was a period!

Sometime periods are weird for no reason, but while ttc you want everything is OK and this is why would want you to see Dr. and confirm that this was a weird period and nothing to worry about.

I am hoping to see truth by Ultrasound, will exactly know situation and also will tell the reasons why period was like that.

Dr. has more instruments to know exact and knowledge to suggest than anyone of us.

Wait to hear Dr. and follow up.
Post me what happens at Drs. office.

I have no idea

I called the Dr. yesterday and the front desk took a msg and the Cr. will call today. I was like totally convinced after the blood test but my husband says he is 99% sure that I am pregnant. I have no idea why he is saying that.
Maybe the spotting was my period?? What do you think? I did spot for 4 days off and on. Now, I have like very creamy CM but I have no other symptoms of being pg. Although, I do get exhausted in the p.m but that might be just my day to day activities.
I am clueless as to what is happening.

An Ultrasound

Dear Cheery,

I know your confusion and is valid also.

In case you were not on any medication (not only gynecological) and was not sick in the cycle then it's less likely that your period ended up as spotting.

The spotting if that was for a day or hours then it may be an implantation bleeding. But then blood test should have been positive, which you are saying not.

Is it possible to request your Dr. to have a transvaginal ultrasound done for you.

If you are pregnant she/he may see it in a week or two by checking your cervix (a qualitative method) and ultrasound would confirm.

If that spotting was period then you need to have investigated why did that happened. Not to panic though!

Most importantly do not stress out and talk to your Dr. Let me know what's advise of your Dr.

Even more confused

Archie,
Hope all is well with you. My test results are in and it came out negative. My period is not here yet and I have no wonder why. When i had that spotting, could that have been my period? It was only on the TP. Now I am all the more confused. I had done a pap 3 weeks ago and everything came out normal. I will probably have to talk to my Dr. What do you think?
