This is Shrav from thirupur. last night i dreamt of shaving my head in saloon and woke up with fear. i went to mom and spoke about this, she laughed at me and said i have never shaved my head in kulatheivam temple and my father never allowed that. i was completely shocked and called my friend Kavya and told her about this and she said we must shave our heads at least five times in our life or else it will end up in something bad. is it must for a girl to shave? should i do it at least once? please help me since i am very confused.. my mom said i have never shaved since birth.. Kavya said i must invite my whole family and shave before all and pierce my ears once again in my kulatheivam temple , i really cant do that since i am just 19 years old. if it is a must then where should i shave and how to convince my dad?

I read al your msgs and vry happy to hear tat you r gonna shave your head. Congrats for the function... i discussed with my mom regardng your problem and mom felt bad for you, she adviced you to shave your head 5 times ie 3 times in your native temple and one tonsure in tirupathi and the last by a gud barber in saloon. if you' ve any doubt then please ask me. do it without fear and wholeheartedly. i will come for your mudi erakudhal and kaadhani vizha if you invite me. :-)

My friend has spoke to my dad and got permission some how, but he is not going to attend my \" KAADHANI VIZHA\" . mom has gone to print invitation and she is going to invite only close relatives and my college mates. Coming friday is auspicious and kavya said \" Shravs ku coming friday KULATHEIVAM KOVIL LA MUDI ERAKI KADHU KUTHIDALAAM and FIRST AVALODA MAMA MADIYILA UKKARA VECHU AVALUKU NALLA MOTTA POTTU APROMA PUDHU DRESS LA KAADHU KUTHALAAM\" , mom said ok for her idea and tomorrow i am going to purchase new dress and earring. since she took the earring from my ears yesterday itself and the holes are very small, it will disappear before friday.

Again a great shock for me. my friend kavya has called all my friends and told them about this. she has told \" namma shravs avaloda kulatheivam kovil la next week motta pottu kadhu kutha pora and she will invite all of us, ava mama madiyila ukaandhu mottai adika poralama\" she has already removed my earrings, i am crying like anything. i dont know what to do, all my friends are calling me mottai now itself. please do something.

i need your advice now. yesterday while i was browsing about head shave i saw a video of tirumala head shave. many women were shaving their heads and i got very scared by watching it, the barber is just like that shaving very harshly pulling their heads in which ever directions he wants, i nearly started to cry by seeing this. i am in the most difficult situation of my life please help me.my friend is forcing me to shave my head 5 times, i want to talk to grandma and ask her whether i really should shave my head in kulatheivam temple and will it pain a lot?

How many times you have shaved your head and where? i have a maternal uncle who is 53 years old, should i sit on his lap and shave my head? convey my regards to grandma, i just love her a lot for caring me.

that was very considerate of you. and you are so kind. i came to a decision that i have to tonsure my head atleast once as you have suggested and i am doing it in my kulatheivam temple only. please give me your id dear, i have to ask some personal doubts regarding tonsure, now i have two main doubts 1st how to convince my dad? 2nd should i invite my whole family by giving invitations? ask grandma and tell me soon so i can plan on this.
