hi all!!! i need ur help....i am 5 weeks pregnant and doc asked me to do a ultrasound by the end of this week, to check the heartbeat of the fetus.but i am worried to death as some one told me its impossible to check for an heartbeat so early...so why did the doc asked me to do????has anyone done any ultrasound so soon???please reply.......

one can get sonography done at 6 weeks no probs. docs suggest that. i havent yet done for myself - waiting for the test reports, after that. who is ur gynaec? which hospital?

hey.....thanks for the mess....i am currently in my 8 week and till now i havent done my 2nd ultrasound.....feeling scared....and even the doc has asked me to wait until week 9and then do it. i hope i get to listen to the heart beat then.......i am based at delhi and my doc is Dr.Indu bala from moolchand hospital....nice doc she is......what bout you.....how many weeks are you in......

Hi dear. I' m not so sure about that but when i went for my first check up, during 4 and a half weeks, the doctor touch my belly and told me that its too early to detect heartbeat. If your doctor has said, i think its alrite as he knows the best. For my 1st child, they did the scanning only around 8 weeks. Congratulations dear.
