hey could some one tell me about lactose intolerance wht is that wht to do for that when will it go what are the test to be done.. i have consulted my doctor but she says that is nothing to worry which will go after 6months since iam travelling US iam worried about his future diet someone pls help momsays replied. Please do not worry about the child being lactose intolerant. If you are travelling to the US, then even better, you can find a good pediatrician with your insurance plan and consult with the doctor for some tests that may doubly prove that your baby is indeed lactose intolerant.
Please do not worry about food, there are plenty of soy milk/soy based formula available for kids who are lactose intolerant and you can try to get more information or even free samples from your pediatrician.

HAve heard about lactose intolerence from a couple of my friends whose children had it ...

Some children are intolerant... ie basically unable to digest the cows milk.. and either vomit or pass loose stools or both....

Mostly children grow out of it by the time they are 1-2 years old .... after 1 yr slowly other milk products can be introduced and then gradually milk ... till then the child is kept on soya milk ...

Dont worry ... its not some disease ... the child becomes ok as soon as the stomach has the capacity to digest the milk.

A little patience helps a lot...
