Honey, walk. Start with 10 minutes a day, increase gradually, Never walk so fast that you get breathless. see if you can find a walking buddy. Dont over do the fruit, they are loaded with sugar to eat melons and citrus fruits, berries. Avoiddried fruits and nuts. when cooking make sure that you don' t pour oil into the pan, use a tablespoon. If you are non-vegetarian eat fish and avoid shellfish, remove the skin from the chicken, eat lean cuts of meat and avoid processed foods...cheeses, cold cuts etc. Healthy vegetarian protien sources are dals, beans, tofu.
Make sure you have breakfast and eat six small meals a day rather than 3 big ones. Cut out white bread and maida products.
Sitting at home alone all day can be depressing for anyone. Could you join a course, maybe a hobby course? Any recreation center near your home? If you get out and meet a few other people [never mind which race culture etc, don' t stick to desis only!]you' ll feel better, Inshallah
Start keeping a food diary to see if you see eating healthy, that will help too.
All the best and biggest hug!

hi
i' m also facing the same problem. well, i guess all u can do is just go for walks everyday. but dont over do it. and eat protiens, veggies and fruits. try to avoid rice and oily and fatty stuff. u will gain wait. with our condition the max. weight we can put on is 7kgs. that is 3 kgs will be the baby and the rest is the fluid. i guess u will have a c-section. nowadays c-sec. are very neat. dont worry. just eat healthy and everything will be alright. this is my second pregnancy. when i delivered my first little girl 4 yrs ago i was 98 kgs. and i had a normal delivery.
Another thing prayers works wonders. keep praying and everything will be alright. God Bless U and ur baby. Congrats by the way....

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
