Hi,

We are expecting our 2nd baby in April 08. We were wondering if it is a good idea to go for Stem cell preservation?

We live in Gurgaon and currently LifeCell, Cryobanks and Relicord provide this service here. I was wondering if anyone has any comments about any of them? I would like to know the parameters on which to evaluate these companies.

If anyone has used services from these companies, I would appreciate any feedback.

Hi Ruchi, i have heard about about lifecell you can surely try them and if you have any of your friends or relative who are into this line you can talk to them they will guide you properly.

It would be much better if you visit the banks yourself and see what all do they offer and what are their policies and what benefit will you and your baby have if you choose them over the other banks.

After taking presentation from 3 stem cell banks: cryobank, cordlife and lifecell... we are planning to go with lifecell because they have better overall service. They provided good information about their product and also prompt in responding to us.

i am also expecting second baby in march 08.i have discussed about cord blood banking with my gynae and she told me that this is very good idea and i must go for it.i contacted cryobank and lifecell.both companies charges same amount of 70,000 for 21 yr.it can be possible in instalment.but somebody told me that storage facilities of cryobank is in gurgoan whereas for life cell they collect it and send it to chennai and it should stored within 24 hr.but i dont know which one is good and also in confusion. if u get any more things about it then please let me know about it.

Hello Members,

I am 5 months pregnant and am keen to bank my baby´ s stem cells. I asked my gynaec for her opinion. She told me its a great step I would be taking. When I asked her for which stem cells banks are the best, she recommended LifeCell International. I trust my gynaec and so am planning to go ahead with LifeCell. Does anyone have more information about them? I have heard they are India´ s first stem cell bank. Any other inputs from you would be beneficial.
