I had written through this site in past. Archie has given many valuable advice during my wifes pregnancy. My 18 months old daughter doing well now. thanks god.

My sister is 4th month of pregnancy after IUI. She is in India, after diagonised for gestational diabetic, (140mg/dl) she is giving insulin 3times daily 8unit, 6 unit/2 times.

Docotor also give her diet chart to continue until delivery.

Is there any other solution for gestational diabetic like yoga or diet something

also she could not take any fruits or even milk as per doctors chart, only chappathi and boiled vegetables. is it enoght for the development of baby?
Doctor prescribed for her following tables
Folvite
ASA
Hifer (vitamin)

Will appreciate anyone' suggestion or advice

Hi,
I suggest the best remedy to control is diet. Eat 1 chappati with 1 'bitter guuard' (1 full veg with skin included in its preparation) as breakfast, 2 chappatis with the same veg as lunch besides other vegtables (avoid carrot, beetroot etc) and eat 1 apple (avoid banana, grapes, chickoo, pineapple and oranges) in the evening, and in the night 2 chappatis with the same veg (instead of potato include raddish veg. With no medication, your sugar will be under control in 5 days time period. All the very best.

I am 29 weeks pg and have GD since 14 weeks. Got to follow the diet. I am on a pill called glyburide and havent gone on insulin yet.

U can eat fruits but not in the early monring as a part of breakfast. U can have one small apple, or one small orange, few grapes etc in the noon when it will not affect ur sugar levels. Also eat lots of fresh veggies like carrot, cucumber, tomatoes etc... These are very healthy and low calories.

Hope this clears ur doubt.
