hi all,
i went in for my nt scan today. all came out well.:)im quite relieved:)my gyn has advised me to go for triple screening.she said its optional,and i can go for it if dh and i are able to make up our minds for it.im trying to find more info.lets see....still have 2 weeks in hand to take a decision.
anyone else adviced the same?wish u all good luck.

Subject:  NT Scan



Hello -- what is NT scan? I just had the 1st scan from which they determine the due date. It was in the 12th week. Another one is due in 20th week where they do an Anomaly scan to rule out any abnormality of the baby. Are you talking of the 2nd scan here?

Hi Mou,

I m in bangalore, india.
As u told u r suppose to hv a blood test in 15th week. That´ s also Ok. Here in india wt i know is those who missed their NT Scan, has to go for blood test in 16th week.
May b in UK they prefer blood test than Scan.
As of now my doctor has not suggested any blood test.
In google search for " NT Scan" you will get to know the details.

Hi Mou,

NT scan use to detect Down´ s Syndrome problem in baby
and it has 2 b done within 11-14 week.
almost all doctor suggest it to do.
which doctor/hospital u r referring to?

even my NT scan went fine.
i hv to visit my doctor , let' s see wt she will tell.

Hi Rupali -- I am in UK. I did have a scan at 12.2 wks but I believed that it was essentially to confirm my due date. I dont know whether they checked the NT bit or not. But I have been offered a blood test in 15th week to check the possibility of Downs Syndrome etc. Where are you staying?
