Crying & Colic:Teething already

We have a 3 month old girl. Yesterday, I noticed as she was fussing, her gums looked red on the bottom and she has been biting down when she's nursing. I didn't know a baby could start cutting teeth this early, is this common?

Yes, it is very common. Babies can have their first tooth anytime between 4 to 8 mths. normally. I have 5 and half year baby who has already got two teeth. I asked Dr, and he said it's very common. So don't worry and be happy that your baby might get its first teeth soon.
