We are planning to visit Tirupati for Balaji darshan in jabuary next year.

My hubby asked me if he could offer his hair at Tirupati. I said it would be a good idea.

I am thinking of asking him not to get his haircut or shave his beard till we visit Tirupati. but I have few doubts :

Do you think 4 months will be too long a period for a guy to grow his hair and beard?

Will it be too uncomfortable for my Hubby?He generally gets his haircut once every month and shaves his face daily.

Your thought of asking him not to have haircut or shave of beard for four months is okay. But it may not be practical. However, it is a must that he skips his hair cut at least for two months and beard shaving for at least fifteen days.
I suggest that he shaves off his moustache and beard when he offers his hair in January.
It is a nice decision that you have made to encourage him to have a Tpt tonsure. It is so refreshing for both the person and his close relatives especially the wife.
By the by, if you are a female who never even trims her hair it is okay. But if you are one that occasionally trims her hair to cuts split ends etc. then I suggest that you also chop off about three or four inches off the end of your braid in Tpt.
By the by what is your name? How old are you and your husband? Do you have kids? rajesh replied. It would be too difficult to stay without hair cut and shaving.So let him go as usual.He may get tonsured on and when he visits.
