Hi friends,

I recently did two home pregnancy tests and found out that I am pregnant after a 2nd round of IUI. I got a blood work done on the 23rd for my HCG levels which was 700+ and the Doc said it was very good, I went for another round of Blood work on Thursday and the HCg levels rose only by 200, the reading is 900+. It is said that the HCG Levels in pregnant women doubles every 48-72 hrs. My progesterone is good. I have to go for another round of Blood work tomorrow and if the HCG levels dont double does it mean that I have miscarried or have an ectopic pregnancy. please help, My husband and I are very very disturbed .Anybody who has been in such a situation or know anything about it please help me. Thanks in advance

I also went through the same thing a couple of times. I got pregnant on my own though. My numbers slowly inched up to end up with miscarriages. The last time I was pregnant with an ectopic which then my numbers were climbing with a normal pregnancy, higher than before but I ended up having that tube rupture and now I am trying to conceive again after 2yrs with one tube and pcos.I would suggest having them ceck your progestrone level. Specialist have told me if I ever get pregnant again that they would have to keep a check on mine to see if they are at te level that its suppose to be or i would ave to take meds throughout my whole pregnancy to keep from miscarrying. JUST AN IDEA! GOOD LUCK!
