Hope everybody is busy with their lil ones n breastfeeding. I hv already started worrying abt BF after starting to work.

I heard from couple of 2nd time moms they managed to pump n feed while working upto 9 months. Pls. give me all the ideas of how to do it in office n manage with BF until 9 months. I was going to buy a manual pump since electric pumping is not convenient in office n makes noise which I am not comfortable with. With going back to work I don' t want to stop BM for my baby. I am worried pls. help with ur ideas.

When hv u all planning to go to work? I will start once my baby is 3 months. Is it the right time?

Its ideal to join office after 3 Months of baby' s birth & also its very important to take milk out of ur breasts continously to produce more milk. So pumping while in office in very Good idea.
the milk supply in Breast in morning is the best & it reduces as day passes by. so, ideally the routine shud be-
-to breastfeed ur baby in the morning.
- to pump before leaving for office for afternoon dose & store it in refrigerator.
- take pump along with u in office & pump it in afternoon & store the milk in office refrigerator for evening, so that u can go back home & feed the baby with the same.
- breastfeed ur baby b4 going to bed.

If u r thinking that why shud u pump while u r in office for evening , u can come home & breastfeed ur baby urself after coming home. but If there is gap in taking milk out of ur breast then the milk may dry up & the produce may low down. So its really Important to take milk out of breast every 3 hours.
Also, u shudnt pump milk before going to bed thinking u will feed the baby with stored milk in the night. If u will stop taking out milk at nights then also the same situation will occur, The milk may dry up. good idea is -you can wake up, Pump in the middle of the night for 10 mins & ask ur partner to feed the baby with bottle.
Manual Pump is fine but electrical ones have good sucking power & can get milk faster as u woud need to join work soon after break. It is true that it makes sound but thats Perfectly OK.
If u can afford, u get electrical pumps which doent make sound at all & works fast.
