I have low placenta in 15 weeks, There is any way to encourage the placenta to move?? I heard that drug Isoxsuprine Hydrochloride can help in moving up the plancenta, which used as a vasodilator.

Hi,
Usually majority of the women who have low lying placenta in the 2nd trimester, that is till 28 wks ,would have their placentas moving upwards as the uterus grows maximally in the third trimester. So usually by 32weeks the placenta has moved up wards & is totally out of the way.Only one third of those having low-lying placentas in 2nd trimester continue to have it at their due date. The rest usually have normal placentas.
Also sadly i believe there is nothing that you can do to try & encourage the placenta to move upwards!
Only thing is to take lots of bed rest to prevent bleeding & i guess your ob/gyn would have called you for a repeat scan at 32 weeks.
Till that time dont take stress & dont worry.I am sure if it is moving already then it will def move upwards by 32 weeks.Mainly dont worrry ,stay calm, eat well.It will be perfectly ok,believe in God.
Take care,All the best
Anu
