Hi! Zabin

Good idea!

My son is 14 months and is very much like your child. I give him khichdi, role soaked in dal, roti soaked in mild and add 2 spoons of cerelac to it to make a very smooth paste, cut and cook apples( peeled and cut into vey fine pieces), mashed bananas, and also he takes a bit of whatever we eat. yes the quantity he takes is very small, I too worrk about him but as long as the child is healthy and active theres no worry.
Cheers!

Hi Zabin,
i came to this topic to find out about food i can feed to my 20 months old baby. She too is fussy, but i know that she likes soft food. since they cannot chew that easily babies like soft and liquidy food. try giving mashed rice (overcook rice for sometime and add a little of water, ghee and salt to it)
soft chapatis (you can put oil/ghee to make roti very soft) with honey r some other sweet the baby likes.
one more recipie which worked with my daughter is, fry little onion pieces in ghee, add carrot, beans, green peas and fry a little more, add salt and bit of chilli powder (very little) to this add rice and tur dal(less in quantity) this would taste very nice as well.
Hope this helps you.

hi Zabin.

This is a very common problem... but don' t worry, try to give ur son whatever he likes. Infact give him everything n encourage him to eat, but don' t force him. Woh jo bhi khush ho kar khaye use khane do. He is old enough to have any thing, so u can give him \" fingure chips, besan ka puda, omlate, aaloo- parantha, fruit-chaat(cut into very small pieces), Maggie etc.\" Just add variety to his food n try to give him everything, it will help to develop his taste.

Don' t worry, I can understand ur problem as I' ve gone through this phase. Don' t loose hope.

RE:The Parents Guide to Healthy Snacking
So my sister’s child is a very fussy eater. She generally makes veggie cheese rolls or sandwiches to get her to eat her vegetables. She tries to use colourful and pretty veggies to get her to eat. Giving smoothies, fruit salads and milkshakes is another appetizing and attractive method. In fact she even decided to supplement her diet with Immuno Boosters and Brain B... - say [View Message]
