Name: sonia hello, i m new to this site i m 28 yrs old,married for 10 months my husband lives in europe i have problem of irregular periods even sometime 2 times in a month and flow is not normal as well, i have already consult with gynecologist he prescribed me some test i have gone through those test all were in normal range only Transvaginal ultrasound shown that my endometrial layer is thick abt 5 mm than he suggest me hystroscopy and boipsy.Biopsy was also normal than doctor suggest me to conceive as soon as i can, Now i m confused if all result were normal than why Dr insisted me to conceive as i m planning not to conceive now at least for 2 yrs. anybody going through my situation plzz suggest me
your suggestion will be highly appreciated

Hi Sonia,

I' m just telling U wat happend in my life. When i was 17 yrs, i had similar prbs and similar tests and was found to hv thicken endometrium same as urs 5mm and my gynic said the same to my parents..get her married asap. But i got married at the age of 24 after finishing MBA n then settling down in a job. After 5 yrs of married life, i never conceived. Did lot of infertility tests, everything was fine. finally i had to undergo a surgery called laproscope in which i was found to be suffering from stage-3 endometriosis which is a very painful disease...root cause for my infertility. Now i' m 33, trying IVF(test tube baby). My Life is horrible.

Thickened endometrial layer does not always indicate that we might be suffering from stage-1 endometriosis but this thickness might cause problems with the fetal attachment.

Kindly follow ur doctors advice and do try to conceive asap. All the very best
