Name: Joye Singh

I have problem of polycystic Ovary. I have period cycle of 30-32 days .In that case my ovulation day would be 16th to 20th day (approx). My doc. has taken scans on 13 and 15th day of my cycle and concluded that I m not ovulating so need to do laparoscopy. My query is, if I (probably) ovulate 16th to 20th day of my cycle, can it be diagnosed on 13 / 15th day whether I m ovulating or not? Please help, I am very much worried.

Laproscope is not done to identify PCO.
Its a simple outpatient surgery. Do not get scared. But do check with ur doc b4 going in for thz surgery. If she insist and suspects something other problem, kindly do not postpone the surgery. Everything will be alright and u soon will be bless with a sweet baby :-)

Hi Joye,

PCO is a syndrome which comes in pre-diabetic stage. I request u to read more about PCO in internet and update urself.
Almost 85% of india girls suffer from PCO. Walking/exercising and diet control with no sweets/sugar and lots of vegetables will help us a grt way to manage PCO. when u r trying to get pregnant ur doc might prescribe u with diabetic medicines and put u on follicular monitoring which will aid u to produce good eggs. so dont worry abt that.

relax and all the best dear

Hi Joye,

So if you cycle is 30-32 days, then you should be ovulating on 16-18 the day. I have been through this scan thing before, they can kind of figure out if you would have a mature follicle for that cycle by CD 15 if you are going to ovulate within the next 2-3 days.

I am not sure if laproscopy is the answer, talk to your doctor about it and other options. sometimes, simple things like watching your weight, diet and exercise does wonders for women with PCOS.

This is from my experience, i also have PCOS , but i have been able to get pregnant and have a baby normally. take care,
