Hi hans,

I' m 21yrs or age & i always wanted to know how it feels. I' m planning to go for it by this weekend. Ive asked my bf to do it for me. If he agrees it is ok. If not he would take me to a parlour or somewhere. Can you tell me dat how it will be done in case of a parlour? Is there anyother place where i can go for it?

Hi Hans,

As per your mail request, I am posting this mail.

I am 24yr old girl, Four month before I did my HS in barber shop due to dandruff prob. First time i felt shy to do HS. Now I am Very much interested in doing again, why becuase feeling some thing free when cool breeze touches my scalp, also I felt very nice when barber rotates my head as his wish and shaves my head.All my friends and parents and my younger sister touches my smooth gundu often, I liked my shinning, smooth gundu.

My parents are planning to get one more gundu for me, am awaiting for that day!!..

Well Sowmiya, i should say I am surprised and sort of get a proud feeling that a girl is so open in sharing about her experience of a headshave in a positive way. I say this because hair is one´ s crowning glory and this applies more to girls and women in particular. So, hats off to u i would say !! {Am not sure of the fact that hair would grow thicker after a headshave ! So,I cannot comment on that}

Dear Sowmiya
I am happy to know that you liked your gundu. To get good, thick and healthy hair repeated gundu is helpful. When your parents themselves are suggesting it, you should not miss the opportunity. So I strongly suggest that you go for a gundu with razor once a fortnight for 4 times and enjoy the nice gundu head. Then you can grow it long. After all, you will be postponing hair growth just by two months which is nothing compared to the immense advantage of good hair.

Yes ganesh, thanks for your comments.. Going out with bald head is really good expereince. Atleast I did in this age. I have to thank to my parents. Now my dandruff problem is also solved, also I will get thick hair. SO my parents are telling me to go for 3 to 4 times gundu, only then I will get thickness.So I accepted them to go for only one time.

Hi,Hans how are you?i am a married woman of 23 years old when i was 12 my father often called a barbar at home for my brothers hair cut.Once in summer as my father called barbar for my brothers head shave as he shaved my brothers head,i dont know why i go so much intrest in it,then i requsted my mom for mine my father refused then mom said to let her it will grow back soon then barbar started my head shave as he puted the razer on my head and started i felt that as i am flying i enjoed alot this was the happyest time of my life when i touched my smooth head,after that i got this deep rooted intrest but there was no more chance for me,now as i am married i have requested my husband so many time but he is confused to decied and i am in great worry about it and waiting for the time.By the way do you have intrest in it or have shaved it any time?can you plz share with me?

Hai, I am a married women, i have one daughter, we have an happy life. Now we want a male baby, now i had a vow with Tirupathi balaji to shave my hair. Earlier i am refuse to shave my hair at various occasions, even after my husbands request. But now i interested to shave my head. I wil awaits the day to come.

Never vow to get something from lord balaji, especially, such anticipation. Anyway, the time has passed a lot from your decision. Its not useful to put any remarks/suggestions on it.

i wish Lord Balaji, a happy & healthy life for you, your husband and baby.

Go for compete tonsure (gundu) at tirupathi, keeping full faith in mind about his blessings.

Have you done gundu, as of today? or WAITING TO DELIVER THE BABY AND THEN GOING FOR GUNDU?

Please inform as whether you are a house wife or working anywhere? It does not have any relation for your decision. But if you are a house wife, it would be easier for you, to get the gundu immediately as well as after the delivery of baby boy. Even if you are working somewhere, it won´ t affect your gundu immediately and later on delivery of baby boy.

By this time, I hope you would have gone for gundu.

wishing you good luck and make your husband happy by getting gundu, since he was asking for the same for sometime.

i myself keeping gundu for past 8 years or so, with small notch on the centre of head (called shikha with small portion of hair around the said shikha, called ghera). My wife is also planning to have a gundu. The gundu, is nothing but to sacrifice at the feet of Lord, but, it should rather without any demand from the Lord Balaji.

Has you husband done anytime gundu? If not get the gundu done for both of you at the same time at Tirupathi.
