Hi pals
Has anyone been experiencing some different feeling like pain in the lower stomach , and sometimes under too , i am very scared as they resemble to pre-term symtopms . But there is no backpain and as such pressure in pelvis .
Let me know if this is common with some of us .
i am in my 25 th week.

Preethu Simmi replied. Hi Preethu. I am 24 weeks and I too get these lower abdomen pains when I am walking or when I am lying down. Doc has assured me these are strechy pains as our skin is not elastic enough and has to expand incredibly. It is normal and I try massage and rest when the pain starts. Hope this helps. Take care. Hallelujah, I thought I was the only one worrying about it.I have this pain in my lower stomach/pelvic area too and keeps getting worse as my stomach grows (I am day away from my 25th week too). It spreads to my inner thighs by the end of the day and gets awfully painful while walking.

My doc told me that since I have no extra fat to kinda cushion the uterus, the stretching of the ligaments is what is causing the pain.

Preetu, dont worry about it too much. Unless, like Preeti said, you have cramping that doesn't go away and bleeding you have nothing to worry about. Did you mention it to your doc??? If so , what did she have to say???

Even I am in my 25th week and have been experiencing the same kinds of pain u r having and my doc says that its due to the pulling of the ligaments. But if u have any doubts about this please do let ur doc know. As far as I know unless there is severe cramping or water leakage or bleeding accompanying these kinds of pains ...there is no way that this is the start of a pre term labor.
But still try to do some kegel exercises which is explained in detail in some websites like www*babycenter*com & www*webmd*com.
Please refer to these and see if u find any relief. Dont worry so much about it so much and if ever in doubt talk to ur doctor. Hope this helps!!!
