Hi everybody,

I got my little princess \" SAHANA\" on Feb 12th at 7.29pm in a snowy evening!!! She was 6 lbs 11 oz wt and 19 3/4 inches tall at birth. I went for 39th week appt on 11th and I was 3 and half cms dilated. Doctor was surprised I don' t have active contractions. She said if I get pain I shd rush to hospital anytime and asked me to come to the hospital on 13th to get induced for labor since it is risky to wait for longer. But on the same night I was very comfortable not able to sleep. On 1th morning I was so nauseous and uncomfortable and was seen in doctor office and was 4 and half cms dilated. I had a test for checking contractions and I had some so I was sent to hospital directly.

At hospital I was induced by breaking water followed by pitocin at 11.30am. My contractions were slowly progressing. At 4.45 I asked for a epidural since I had to take pains for long time. After epidural I felt better saved energy to push. At 7pm I was asked to push, in 4 contractions n pushing my angel was out.

I am busy juggling with my older one and bfeeding my baby while recovering. My older one sometimes wants to cling to me which is the toughest challenge I am facing now. She likes the baby but throws bad tantrums when she wants to be close to me. But holding my baby is worth it all.

Congrats on the arrival of your little one. Hope you recover fast. Don' t worry about your elder daughter, they will slowly adjust. I also had the same problem with my son. He wasn' t ready to share parents. He didn' t want me to hold the baby or take care of her but now he is ok. Slowly adjusted. coming to me, I am doing fine (recovered from bad backpain and even my stiches pain is also almost gone).

Hope everyone else is doing fine. I guess new Moms busy with the little ones and others are eagerly waiting.

Sahana - is a wonderful name .. I have always liked this name and was thinking i' ll keep this name if its a baby girl.
