So what are you all taking specially to nourish yourselves? I am still in my regular diet of rice, vegetable a nonveg and some curry. Milks probably a glass or 2...sometimes I substitute milk for orange juice! Once in a while I take Almonds...BTW do you know why many suggest taking almonds soaked in water?? I just eat it raw..does it make a difference?

I tried having saffron, but I don't seem to like the taste of it, and I end up wasting the milk too:( so I have iven up on it.

Other than this, I like to have fruits, and some snacks. Have you heard that they say a little chocolate could lead to a happy baby later on? Don't know how far this is true...but isn't that a nice excuse to munch on our favorite chocolates?

I haven't had any specific cravings yet...I have my doctors visit this friday, when I'll be tested for GD. Hope everything goes well.

Share your diet habits too, so that we can all learn from each other and have a healthy pregnancy!

Hi Tweetie,

I take 2 almonds everyday in the morning.I used to have either apple or orange juice in the morning...

It seems in 7th month avacado is really good for the babies..So once a week i make sure i eat avacado.

For lunch i have Salads,Veg curry,Rice,Dhal and curd.

Dinner Rice/Chapathi,Vegetables and curd.

After that usually i have some fruits and a tall glass of milk.

I have craving for spicy fried foods.
Planning to cut down sugar .Already i have put 10 kgs.
So don't know how i am going to manage..

Take care
love

Hi,
I also take raw almonds, i think that is fine. I also take other dry fruits like cashew, raisins, dates etc.
Otherwise the daily diet is almost the same as u'rs.
I also take juices like sweet lime, carrot beetroot juice, also at times ragi, whenever possible (not daily, as i don't find time). I take apple, pomegranate daily. any other fruits that u can recommend.
I too have my GD test next week, hope everything goes fine.

All the best & keep posting the updates. And any suggestion on some good food.
