Name: rains I have read that if you are trying for a girl you need to do sex 3 days before you ovulate and do it less frequently. But there is also a mention that sperms are at the most alive for 48 hours. So how does this logic goes.

Dear Rains

The logic is simple.
In sperms, y chromosomes are fast but weak ,give a son.They perish fast.
X chromosomes are slow but strong, these are the ones which will survive after two days at the time of ovulation and mate with the egg to produce girl child!

Thanks for your reply. I was worried about that. and I missed it this time :(((( it is so very bad you feel that you are and then you come to know that you are not pregnant.
I wanted to know about OPK. Is it readily available with the chemist? Is it helpful?

hi rains....

so sorry for a delayed response
it is usual for most of the fluid to flow out
bit only a little bit is required to fertilise the egg
what ur aim should be never keep ur vagina sperm free so taht some amnt is always left ..which can greet the egg...and never under estimate the power of these swimmers
they will know where to go and what to do

hi rains....

it doent mean u should stop having sex 3 days before ...do it jst 2 days back ...gv it a break for 2 dyas...and not jst 48hrs ...healthy sperms can live upto 3 to 4 days also....
also have sex sparsely ....meaning.. dont do it when u ovulate but may b the next day ....
but dont b so calculative that u end up not hitting the target...
so happy baby making

We try on alternate days. But sometime the gap is for 2 days. I was worried if that might be a problem.
I have one more question, when we try it, most of the time much of the discharge comes out. I wonder if some sperms reach the vagina.
