As i had mentioned earlier that we would be shaving my sisters head as we had a vow.
Now i want to ask that what should one wear at the time of mundan??
Should one keep a fast till he/she gets his/her head shaved??
Apart from that is there any other tips from your side on what one should do before getting headshave?? anirudha replied. it depends on caste also if brahmim for boys only on under ware for girls depends on her age less than 10 same underware
more than 10 then frock etc

Your sister is just about 11 years old. For the mundan of such a young girl, not much rules are needed. If done in a temple, any day and any time is auspicious. For boys, it is better (though not a rule) to sit with only a shorts and no banian or shirt for the mundan. But for a girl, she can wear anything comfortable - chudidar, frock, shirt, etc.
No need of fasting on the previous day. But it is better she is shaved early in the morning without taking any food.
An elder can comb her hair thoroughly to free it from knots before proceeding to the tonsure centre. No need to braid it again since anyway the braid has to be released for tonsure.
She can have a red bindi on her forehead and small ear studs before sitting for the shave.
