i have got a dilema,when i visited my astrologer she told that it was best to perform this ceremony on my 7 yr old son.i have got some doubts,
1)where to perform this?

2)what sort of earring should he wear?

3)is a one time tonsure enough?

4)on whose lap should he sit?(is it ok to make him sit on my older daughter)

5)should he wear any other accesory?(like bangles,anklets) kalvindale replied. This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are unanimous and needs to be appreciated by everyone. I appreciate the concern which is been rose. The things need to be sorted out because it is about the individual but it can be with everyone.

2)any golden earring is ok,traditional diamond earrings are in fashion

3)being a boy,ur son can be tonsured regularly.it improves hygiene and bald boys look cute.

4)anyone' s lap is fine,but make sure you remove his clothes as a lot of hair is going to fall during his tonsure

thanks for the reply and my son is akshay and my daughter is akansha.we have decided to perform his tonsure and ear piercing at a temple near our house.soon we have to buy earrings and jewelery(we are going to make him wear bangles,anklets and a loin thread!).we thought it is best not to tell about these arrangements to akshay,as he might fuss.c ya guys and i will post my experiences. aditi replied. hi akshaya
i think that u should have done this ceremony on ur son when he was 5 yr old.now it will cause him more discomfort,and it will be more difficult to restrain him when his head is shaved or his ears are pierced
1)any temple or even beauty saloon(it is more hygenic) is ok.

2)he can wear any earring-hoops,ear drops,chandelier earrings,gimmiki,as long as it is made of gold.

3)one time tonsure is enough

4)ur older daughter is just fine

5)since you are doin this ceremony in the tradition way bangles,anklets,loin thread is a must for him.

it is a good decision to perform this ceremony on your son,as to ur doubts,

1)any temple is just fine.

2)any earring is fine as long as it is made of gold,you can also consider diamond earrings

3)i feel regular tonsures will benefit ur son

4)usually it is maternal uncle but your older daughter is also ok.

5)i dont think it is necesoory
