Miscarriage and Child Loss:recurrent miscarraiges
2006-09-19
Name: me

I have had 2 successive miscarraiges. 1st was at 10 weeks which was a spontaneous one. the second in sept,05 was at 7 weeks this one was a blighted ovum. I was shocked also was really depressed because of this as I have always been very health concious. I decided to read a lot about this. I studied miscarraiges. I know I still cant know more than my doctor, But atleast it gave me a peace of mind. I came to know about how I can help in the teeniest bit that I can. I have started going to yoga. Nutritional attension. Cuting down on some things. I have got a doctor who is interested in preconceptional care. Giving it another try. Can anyone give me some tips or pray for me

Hello,
i am so sorry u are going through this tough phase of ur life. Life sometimees seems unfair... but hang in there. have faith. u will have the a healthy baby soon. I know what u mean by never being able to forget about ur babiees. Because as soon as u conceive the mother forms an immediate bond with the fetus. Its hard for someone from outside to understand it. You have to go through it to be able to understand and console and say the right consolation words. I will tell u my story so that u know that this happens to many people and u are not alone. miscarriages are something people in India don't talk about ... they hush it up as if nothing happened. but its important to acknowlege the mc and the baby to greive properly. well here's my story i started TTC in June 05. Between June 05 and March 06 I went 3 losses. After the 3rd loss I was devastated. I was scared to try again. I decided to take try and find the reason... becuase 3 times it cannot be bad luck. So I took a long break from TTC. went to see a RE (reproductive endocronolist). They specialize in recurrent loss and infertilty. He did several tests including blodd, HSG, hysterograms etc etc to try to find the cause of the losses. he figured out some issues which now when we TTC again he will treat me for. so now in Sept we are TTC after 6 months break. I am hopeful that the next time I concieve my baby will survive ....and I'll be successfull. But not a day goes without missing my little angels. not a day ! I joined a multiple mc group on baby center dot com. They chat daily and its made up of women who all have had 2 or more mcs. So u don't feel alone and also u when u hear success stories u feel hopeful .
here's my suggestion:
1. get all tests done (which u may have already)
2. take a break from TTC... it can be refreshing sometimes
3. keep urself busy.
4. find something and keep it that will help u remember ur lost baby.
this helps in greiving.
last but not the least have faith. Life may seem unfair now, but it will get better.
Hope this helps,
Simba

hi simba,
really you do need an outlet to express your feelings. a miscarraige is not an end the baby is there in your memory till you die you cant ignore this feeling, instead of trying to forget which is futile. i think it helps to grieve and as time passes you come to terms with it. its better to think of it as a cherished person who was very close to your heart but you lost.

i am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. i will pray for u.

even i had missed miscarriage as u can see Raveena has described my case.
it s always hard to accept the fact that u lost your baby.

i am moving with the time but still i have not forgotton my baby.

after miscarriage i put on excessive weight.there was no control on eating.but now i am trying to reduce my weight .i go on treadmill 4 times a week and watching over my diet.

yes yoga is best.i heard that in yoga one sadhana really helps in conception that is Kapalbhati.

be positive .u can hear gayatri mantra.it will give u peace of mind.even ganesh atharvashirsha gives u lot of strength.

speak out freely.share your grief .do not suppress.we all are going thru the same grief in life.

we are here for each other.keep in touch.

rohini

But then my sister went to various fertil... - Lillian [View Message]
