Hi,

I am 6w4d pregnant with my first child. I have been having cramps (sometimes one sided) at both the sides of my pelvic region ever since I was missing menstrual period. I had gone to the emergency room since I wasnt able to tolerate the pain (as it has progressed to my shoulder blades). I was really scared too, but I went for a ultrasound and saw that the yolk and sac in my uterus and my HCG count last week was 5000. The doctor said it is normal. They suspected some bile composition changes & mentioend I could have gall stones, but the ultrsound of the liver turned out to be normal. Not sure what to make of this pain.

I have taken a few days off from work, since it is very difficult to concentrate with these sharp pain every now and then.

I feel terribly tired around evenings, and whenever I eat something I have this pain. I am coping with it for now until the next 2 weeks. After that I might go for an ultrasound and blood tests.

If your HCG keeps doubling every 2 days, your pregnancy could be viable. But it very scary when you are first time pregnant & not sure what to make of these pains.

Hope you feel better.

Thanks
anvi

Hi sam
I also replied you in sept due date club but thought we might start here since we both are from nov club:) , I think i am little ahead of you, I am in my 8th week now, I also had same cramping like you starting from 4thweek, I still get cramps but frequency is really low now. it used to be one every couple of hours and now i can hardly feel them. I already had my ultrasound and doctors appointment, everything is normal. dont worry at all, my doctor said cramping is really normal, some women might feel it some might not. It all depends on person to person how long you might feel cramping. I was also all worried but since i heard my baby´ s heartbeat i am all excited. Dont take tension, more you think about it more you will be stressed. If you can call your hotline nurse, tell her about your cramping she will guide you or you can request for earlier appointment. you might get earlier one. I hope this helps you. Wish you good luck.
regards
Lekha

Its natural to feel this way. It would eventually fade off when you step into your second trimester..!

Welcome to the club..! You' ll like this place, trust me.

Take care

Domperidone
There is a medicine for this condition. If your child is spitting up BF as well as lactogen, then Farex would not be the solution. There is a medicine which contains Domperidone made exclusively for babies which effectively treats this condition. Ask your doctor and then if he gives the go ahead, you can try this medicine. ... - Mel [View Message]
