Hi Smiti,

To answer to your mail,I will share my success story. I did my IVF 4 years ago in Singapore (Where i live).My problem was Unexplained infertility.The doctors did number of tests on me and husband had sperm test also done.It was ok...I even had laproscopy done but was normal.Then doctors suggested IUI.I had 4 IUI done.No success.Then We tried IVF first two times(Ist time IVF.and second time IVF(ICSI) but failed.By this time we were fed up with all process.I really felt ill.So we took a break for 8 months.I then changed doctors and tried again with ICSI(IVF) We had decided to this the last time and adopt if we are unsuccesful.But this time it worked.I did my t3rd IVF(ICSI)in april 2001 in singapore. Right from the start my eggs responded well to hormornes.Finally we got 8 embroyos in good condition and doctor inserted 3 embroyos.
To answer to ur q, why the 3rd time worked, i really can't say for sure.Maybe the following points:
1. I was less stressed because i did'nt except to succeed.I even thought of adoption very seriously.
2. The hormones dosage given by my doctor may have worked .(I can't remember them now)Because they say the the quality of the embroyos is the key to success of IVF.also this time i took progrestone supplements orally instead of inserting them.Maybe last times i had not inserted properly(?)
3.Prayers. We prayed a lot and visited all temples and even novena church.My advise is to read up on IVf as much as possible.So that u know what the doctors are doing.
My daughter was born in 2002.
I hope i have answered ur q.Hope ur wish of baby also comes true very soon.don't worry and loose hope.have faith.Once you have the baby , you forget all the sufferings you went to have her.I am glad now that I persisted on trying some more even though i was depressed.
