Name: Ajay Dear All,

I got married in the month of march 2007 and my wife became pregnant in the month of may 2007, as we were not ready for a child that time we went for an abortion which I belive did mentally affect my wife though the decision was all hers. After that she started taking oral contraceptives. Now we think that we are ready to become parents. I just wanted to know that should there be a time frame between stopping the oral contraceptives and conceiving the child and are there any chances that this oral contraceptives will anyway harm the childs health.

Pls suggest

the pill won' t affect mum or baby' s health, but it hasn' t been that long since the abortion, please make sure your wife doesn' t want a baby just to replace the one she lost.

having been on the pill won' t have any impact on the baby or your wife' s health. The only thing worth mentioning is that it can take a little while for a woman to start ovulating again. some women start once the stop the pill and others take up to 6 months for their cycles to rseume properly so if you don' t conceive in the first 6 months DO NOT be alarmed. All the best with the baby making

oral cantras are safe.. nothing to worry.. u can ash ur wife to stop it and you can start trying.. if u succeed well and good.. else also its ok.. it is not harmful ro anything.. happy luck..
