Hi Archie,

I went to see doctor today. I am 38 weeks pregnant, due date is 25 Jan. She checked my cervix, it has started thining but not opened yet. She took 30 Jan as a date to induce me if I pass m due date.
Is it true that I wont go in labour naturally, as my cervix not started opened yet?

I have not felt any contraction yet, I started taking rasberry tea, do half an hour walking daily, doing all house hold work. What else I should do kick off labour. Sounds like my baby likes my womb.

all the best...my EDD is 30th Jan and last week`s internal chk-up confirmed tight cervix,so far. I am scheduled for another sometime next week...
I am really nervous as to whether i wud b able to take the stress or not...

Pinky,
two weeks before you must have thought baby should stay longer in womb!
you are in 38th weeks and effacing is a good sign. dilation can take place parallel or when you get in labor, as long as effacement is progressing in future internal you have good chances of successful labor.

Hey Pinki, my due date is also Jan 25. Well thats by calender date adn by ultra sound it's teh 20 of jan, but i'm schedule for a c-section on the 15 of jan due to a previous c-section.
I haven't even started dialting or feeling contraction either. i do run around alot with a 2&1/2 yr old, . I have to admit i have even jumped up adn down hoping to start labor, just so i can feel what labor feels like, with Amesha, it was a schedule c-section because she was breech so i never did went into labor with her, now with Keira, looks like i won't know what it feel like. since this is going to be our last baby..
Anywas Good luck with your delivery,and hope labor starts soon for you :-). let meknow what it feels like.
