If someone wants to give their child up to you is the process still the same ? Im not really sure how it works does the parents just sign off their rights and then the child is yours or is it still the same long process i have no clue please someone let me know thanks dedee replied. I have gone thrue this when my best friend talk about giveing up your child so i could adopt it. the parent has to wait tell 48 hours after the childs born befor they can sign up rights then if your trying to get the child your atterny has to go to the court with your request home study and if the judge will not late the child go home from the hosital to you then Familt services gets involved and then you have to try to adopt from them.
