I have been having spotting from past 3 days ( i got this spotting on the day that i should get period , im wondering whether is this period or spotting . im getting this like a drop , that' s it nothing else for the rest of the day , just a drop and some goes till today . We also on TTC from past 3 months , i tought i cud be pregnant and did a home pregnancy test , it showed negative . My worry can i still try for baby this month .

Someone please advice .

It might be too early for a positive result to be detected and you might be pregnant despite the negative result. Has the bleeding increased since you posted? Some people get what is known as implantation bleeding which occurs about 10-14 days after conception as the embryo implants into the womb. It can be a bit scary or upsetting if you' re trying to see some blood but it doesn' t necessarily mean it is a bad thing but it does tend to occur when your period is due and can be confusing.

I am hoping that what you have described is implantation bleeding but if you are not pregnant than you most certainly can begin trying again this month. I wish you all the best with your baby making and hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy

Hi Priya,

Are your cycles usually quite regular without changes in flow? It´ s odd that your period has not come on in full force since you´ ve begun spotting so I am still wondering if there is a chance you´ re pregnant. Depending on the sensitivity of the test positive results sometimes don´ t show for almost 2 weeks so you could test again in another week or so. As for ovulation, I understand your worries but assuming your cycles are generally normal it should not be a problem, even if your period turns out to have been a very light one everything should be ok to try again. Stressful though isnt it?! Relax and enjoy the moment. All the best with the baby making, hopefully you´ ll have good news soon.

Hi,

Thank you so much for replying , im sitll getting like a drop of blood till today ( 4th day ) it didnt increased . I did pregnancy test again , it shows not pregnant . So kinda confused now . Radha do u think i have chance to ovulate this month, since im getting little ammount of period / spotting .
