Kids & Food:working mom feeling guilty

Hi friends,

I' m sure there are lot of working moms out there who share the same feeling of perpetual guilt leaving thier young toddlers at home / with in laws or at day care centers.
I had taken a sabbaticale from work for 1 year and had the advantage of spending all the time with my new born. I started work after my lil one turned 1yr, its been 6 months but the strong guilt still remains and haunts me every time my lil one cried when I step out of home.
It sometimes bothers me to the extent that I think of quitting work and taking over the role of full time mom....
girls, could you share your stories and how did you cope up with this situation....
Trust, it will be a great help.

my baby is 5 months old now and I' m leaving her in a good day care center 3 days a week..2 days I work from home...

I also felt very guilty in the beginning but now as she is growing up, I think its good because she is able to interact with other infants her ...that would have been impossible at home...

Since your kid is more than a yr old, why dont you try a good day care center...it would be good for yr baby to play with others her age...and she wouls not cry so much also when you leave her...

It will be very difficult the first few days leaving her with strangers...but as I said, if the day care is good, then the kid will adapt faster than you think...my baby cried the first couple of days and I would go and spend time with her during lunch..but after a month now, she hardly even notices I' m gobe...she' s so busy looking at everything ang playing with her new toys etc...:)

Hope this helps...

RE:The Parents Guide to Healthy Snacking
So my sister’s child is a very fussy eater. She generally makes veggie cheese rolls or sandwiches to get her to eat her vegetables. She tries to use colourful and pretty veggies to get her to eat. Giving smoothies, fruit salads and milkshakes is another appetizing and attractive method. In fact she even decided to supplement her diet with Immuno Boosters and Brain B... - say [View Message]

its not so difficult issue, we can solve it, there is one option to make your breakfast heavy with oats and fruits, and you should feed them in morning only, after this there is no need to egg also.... - shweta [View Message]
