Hi All ,

I have a one month old baby . Sometimes after feed he doesnt burp and also spits up some milk after feed . Since two days he is crying a lot,he seems to be sleepy but doesnt sleep . He passes gas a lot too. I am planning to get non alchoholic gripe water for him . Hope this will relieve him .
Also can u all suggest me diet for breast feeding . What should we avoid eating and what all we should eat so that we have enough milk supply and also baby doesnt get gassy.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have had the same problem with my baby when she was 3 weeks , she used to cry a lot esp in the late evenings. What worked for us is non alcholic grip water(woodwards) .even though it is not highly recommended by some doctors , using it on \";need basis\"; rather than a routine, when u see discomfort in the baby is ok. it definetly relieves the baby. I used a lota garlic in my food as well. I had to use the gripe water untill my baby was about 2 months old on need basis then she did not need it any more.

Hi Disha

Woodwords gripe water is good. You can give 5 ml thrice a day. If you are in US you will get Mylicon or Gerber Gas Relief over the counter which will solve the problem.

Please avoid onion garlic (spicy food) , cabbage cauliflower and beans, these things cause gases in infants. Spiting up milk is very common so do not worry much.

Hope this helps
Simmy.

RE:Adult breast feeding
I was not breastfeed in my childhood hence the idea of sucking and feeding from a woman's full, engorged breasts has infatuated me. It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth.
