Hi friends,
I am new on this board but am having a very difficult problem.I had a daughter after many years of marriage due to unexplained fertility problem and finally succeded after ivf when i was 35 and now i discovered i am pregnant at 40.What should i do?.Is is ok to have a child at 40?.My husband is 45 and is very happy with the news.I am sometimes happy since my daughter will have a sibling.But i am having doubts whether it is advisable to have children at such old age.Do people in india have children at such an age?

It doesn' t matter if other people have children at 40 or not, you have been blessed with another child and you should be happy about it. People will have something to say regardless- who cares. Your hubby is happy and you should be too. Your daughter is going to have a sibling and that is a great gift you can give her. What does your doctor say ? Ask him/her very direct questions that is on your mind. If there is no complications then enjoy it and take care of yourself for a healthy pregnancy. Remember what you went through when you were trying to get pregnant earlier, it is a blessing to have another without trying so hard.
Be happy and take care of yourself and enjoy this time.
