i' m not sure how do i create a post. So I just reply on your message. I need assistance about food eaten during preg whether it´ s sufficient enough.

I' m 18 Weeks now !

First of all according to the sonogram, it says 18 weeks but my calculations from the day of first day of last mentrusal is 20 weeks. I´ m too confused. Is it my uterus or placenta is not growing well due to my eating habits.

I' m still vomiting and having nausea. IN the morning I wake up with acidity vomit. I don´ t know what to do. Spoke to gyna she just say eat frequent meals. About meals I´ m too confused.

I need to clarify whether am I eating enough.

Woke up at 9am :

1.Take Half cup of Tea & few glucose or digestive biscuits or Milk Toast

or have no mood to have milk as vomit when I drink milk

I take a Cheese Sandwich (Whole wheat bread) and few sips of water

10:30am if hungry I try to take some fresh juice (Apple, orange, carrot & beet or depends) OR eat one small apple.

12:15pm I take some sandwich or some indian breakfast like Upma, Loli, Paraata, Pova, Hotdogs, soy bean ham or really depends

in between if hungry have soya crakers one pc or some nuts

2:30pm Lunch

Chapati with some bhaji or chicken masala OR rice with fish that really depends

5pm I want to drink a small pkt of choco milk but it doesn´ t do inside otherwise I try to take some fruits or carrots

7pm I get very hungry I need some Maggie Noodles with some Choi (vege spinach inside)

9pm have dinner

?????

after that i´ m not hungry if i take i will take few bites of ice-cream otherwise not. directly at around 5am I try to take some biscuits

from this diet I feel I´ m not having much as I´ m not liking anything very well. I need more suggestions what to eat in between or lunch/dinner or snack time. too confused.

hope to get ur reply. pls help

Hi guys,
I am 7 weeks preg! I attend office from 8:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m. In such circumstances it is very hard for me to carry food for myself. But i do try to take a lot of fruits and proper lunch. I dont eat half of what is mentioned above. Is this fine? Most of the times I am not hungry, but force myself to eat.

hi resh, pls dont worry listen to your body if you are hungry then pls eat . i have heard pinapple should be avoided in pregnacy, even i am 23 weeks pregnant and have strong craving for pineapple, if i had my way i would make pineapple curry and eat with rice.just remember onething tension of any kind is not good for both you and baby.so be happy and dont worry about food.

Whereas you can eat anything healthy...my mum asked me not to eat spicy food as it causes acidity and heartburn. However, I too eat medium spicy food (not very spicy though). Prepare pav bhaji and chole masala with lill spice that would be absolutely fine.

Also, its not required to eat at mid night uless u feel really hungry. Give little time to your digestion system to digest the food yaar.....
Anyway....Resh, my doc asked me to avoid following:
1. Papaya
2. Strawberry
3. Pinapple
4. Jackfruit
5. Halfcooked fish or meat

Apart from above, eat what all you like. Don' t have loads of icecream..u can eat it once a while.

And honey, my mum says \" if you are craving for anything...don' t stop urself...Just eat it\" .

Have fun :)

Hi Resh,

I think you are unnecessarily worrying too much.

I think you are eating pefectly fine. I am 23 weeks pregnant and I don' t even eat half of what you mentioned.
However, you may try to add high fibre food and more fruits in your diet. When you eat non veg, make sure that it is well cooked as half cooked meat and fish can be bad for your health.

Also, you should drink atleast 8-10 glases of water in a day.

You should also drink a glass of milk everyday as it makes baby' s bones stronger.

Please remember that few pregnant woman have the morning sickness till 5 months and few have it through out their pregnancy. So don' t worry and if it has to go for the entire pregnancy, better learn to tackle it.

Resh, regarding uterus/placnta not growing, I think your doc can suggest you better. However, if a sonogram says that all is fine...donn worry about it. At times our calculation can be wrong. But to avoid any tensions, you may speak to your gynac.

And dear, most imp thing is be happy and cheerful as your mood affects your baby directly.

Think about your sweet baby and enjoy your pregnancy. You will soon start feeling those small kicks :)

diet during pregnancy
Maintaining a healthy diet during pregnancy is very important.

During this time, your body needs additional nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

In fact, you may need 350–500 extra calories each day during the second and third trimesters.

A diet lacking in key nutrients may negatively affect the baby’s development.
