I have got GD. I was able to control it by having strict diet.My 39 th week is running.My EDD is 13th Jan.In NOv,my sugar was too high and bay growth was 1 week ahead.now after diet control, baby growth is 1 day behind.
now day my glucose level in fasting : it is 90-91 and after meal:it is 125-133.Previously it used to be fasting:85-90 and after meal:115-120.
My doc is suggesting me to go for C-section.
Can you please suggest me whether I can wait till 15th Jan by looking at my sugar level?

Let me tell you your C-section choice is unfair for following reasons:
1. GD does not mean C-section. Baby is growing on target, growth 14 days ahead or behind is considered normal.
2. once a C-section often Drs. in western world or back in India would recommend or lean for repeat C-section in subsequent pregnancies.

you can definitely wait for 2 weeks beyond EDD provided baby is not 8 pounds at the completion of 40 weeks or say 7 pounds and 8 oz at the end of 39 weeks.

because you are first timer labor might be longer than expected. I can tell you had not controlled strict with diet you may have had delivered already.

your sugar is absolutely in control. you can go for long walks, intercourse at least 2 times in a week, spaced 2-3 gaps between them. if baby is engaged then you can try to eat Pineapple regularly twice a day, make sure it's not completely riped. Go for squatting and mop the floor with wet cloth and be on your fours.

These are tips to get in to labor on your own and avoid C-section.
