KR replied. Hi xox,
Am really glad that you are in touch and sharing what you feel. Keep it cool and let' s hope for the best. As Megs told wait until you miss your periods and then go for the test, even though certain HPT brand says you can do it 2- 3 days before you misssed your periods. But as for us being in the group for long time our suggestion will be to wait till u miss it. And as Megs said, only if your preiods are regular basis it will be easy for to decide when to take the test. Anyway, just wait for the day to come. Here' s something I posted for another member on this board, just go thru... it may help.
Pregnancy Tests and hCG Values:
The pregnancy tests on the market today range widely in their sensitivity in picking up the pregnancy hormone, hCG. In the chart below, the lower the number in the \" hCG Detected\" column, the earlier you can use the pregnancy tests. As a general rule, hCG levels, if you are pregnant, are between 5 - 50 mIU a week before your period is due. The hCG levels in your system should double every two to three days.
Please remember that every woman is different and the time it takes for the fertilized egg to implant in your uterus wall can vary. A common misconception is that implantion occurs 7 days after conception, but the research findings showed that first appearance of HCG (implantation) occurred 6-12 days after ovulation, with 84% of the pregnancies implanting on days 8-10 after ovulation. If you don´ t get a positive pregnancy test, it doesn´ t necessarily mean that you are not pregnant. It could be that you ovulated later than you thought (meaning that conception and subsequent hCG production didn´ t happen as when you expected) or that, for you, implantation took longer than the average. Your period arriving is a sign that you are not pregnant this cycle, as is a negative blood test from your doctor.
So xox, keep your fingers crossed. Don' t get stressed, just try to engage yourself and don' t try to read any symptoms as we all are forced to feel the symptoms as we eagerly wait for the day to come.
Take care and lots of baby dust on you! Do let us know the result & keep writting.

KR replied. Hi XOX,
The discharge you metioned must be cervical fluid, the vaginal discharge during our fertile days and not semen. So you may be noticed it only after you have started TTC. Like babysos said don' t go for long run or heavy excerxise. If you are in regular routine for long time it' s good for you and healthy body will help you in get concieve and have a healthy pregnancy too. So don' t drop any thing unless if it is recommendant by your Gyn. Here' s soemthing to clear up with your discharge confusion that I read,
After the menstrual bleeding has stopped, the cervix usually dries up. As it gets closer to ovulation the cervical fluid becomes creamy and white - like lotion for a few days. It can also have a sticky feeling to it at this time. Then the fluid gets more wet and more stretchy and clear. This is known as egg-white cervical fluid and is the most fertile. This happens as a result of estrogen surging through the body, getting ready to release the egg(s). When you see the stretchy, clear fluid - it’s the best time to have intercourse. There is usually an abundance of this type of fluid and once upon a time, doctors and women thought that the presence of this fluid was a sign of infection when indeed it’s the best sign of fertility! On the average a woman will have a couple of days of this egg-white cervical fluid and then ovulate. There may also be some spotting around the time of ovulation. Again, in the past this was a cause of concern, but now if there’s blood in the clear stretchy fluid - that’s an excellent fertility sign! The spotting is a result in the sudden drop of estrogen just before the egg is released.
After ovulation, the cervical fluid will dry up or become creamy. This is due to the progesterone which warms the body. As the body gets ready to start another menstrual cycle the fluid usually becomes wet again, almost mimicking the egg-white like fluid. However, if you are pregnant, the cervical fluid becomes creamy - I’ve even heard some women say it becomes more yellow in color too. Pregnant women produce a lot of cervical fluid. But the presence or absence of fluid does not determine pregnancy.
While charting cervical fluid may seem “gross†at first, it’s really a vital role in determining where you are in your fertility cycle. After a while, you’ll get use to it and realize that it’s a part of nature and not some disease or “discharge†as once was thought.
Hope this helps, keep urself cool and good luck!

Babysos replied. The discharge you mention could be semen. Soon after you TTC you should prop your rear end on a pillow and keep your legs raised for about 15-20 mins. This helps in giving the sperm a push to meet your egg when it is released from the ovary. Don' t urinate immediately after TTC coz the semen will then be expelled from your body. You should wait for 20 mins at least.
You can exercise during TTC. But ensure it is low impact exercise and not too much jumping or consistent running. It is always good to maintain a healthy exercise routine before, during and after TTC and pregnancy. It helps for a smoother and natural delivery.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks for clearing the misconception KR. XOX i am TTc as well so even i was pretty shattered about putting off my exercise routine for what seems to be an endless amount of time. But then my doc said i could continue with exercise so long as i dont overdo it or do high intensive exercise. So make a new exercise plan in view of TTC and pregnancy.

Thanks babysos!just a doubt though...i did do all that you said like propping my rear on a pillow and not urinating etc...also, the discharge i mentioned came the next morning, after the night we TTC´ d...could it still be semen? and if so, does it mean that there is no chance that i could be pregnant?
about the exercise...like i said i do about 45 minutes of running daily...maybe i should swith to walking?it´ s just that since we have no idea when we might be successful, it might mean that i am putting off my regular routine for months!!!!
Thanks again for replying...hope you can help out again!
