Hi All,

I had posted a query a few days back regarding discharge from eyes for my 6 week old son and crying while passing motions.

For the discharge I had taken him to a ped opthalmologist and he said that it is because of blocked tear ducts. he asked me to lightly massage his nose and below the eyes with my little finger and return to him after a week. So doing that now. And for the crying while passing motions, he has stopped that for now. Has not been crying for the last 3 to 4 days. Shoul wait and watch.

My friend's son also had this eye discharge problem when he was born. Here doctor said same thing what your doc said doing massage but belive me it didn't work out for 2 years. Then they went to India and spoke with our indian doc and they said it sould go away only with surgery. They did the surgery in india immetiately the discharge stopped now he is 3 yeras old boy with good eyes. Maybe you also consider about this. seema replied. your doc said just as hetal said.hope your baby gets well soon.
