Hi! all girls,
Reading posts till now, some of us have found out the gender of baby, some r w8ing and some want it as a surprise.
Eventhough I want it as a surprise, I dont mind guessing it. I have yet to go for 2 nd u/s.
By reading posts till now, I have gathered some info as who is gonna have baby boy (bunty) n who is gonna have baby girl (babli):-

ok. now here is the question, for the ones who have already found out the gender of our little cute ones.

There is a SAYING (not a medical statement) that if for ur 1st u/s, babys heartbit was below 140 .. its gonna b bunty. but, if its more than 140 , its gonna b baby girl.

so, tell me now, Ira, Barish Dhoop, Rose (and all who have found out the gender of baby, but if I have missed them) , is the above SAYING correct in ur case?

Though, I have decided, not to find out babys gender, I might change my decision on that u/s day itself, as Ira. I m not 2 sure. If by any chance, I changed my decision, and I get to knw, I ll surely tell u in my next u/s exp. post.

Well by force out here In India we have to keep at as a surprise for us:-)But Tried out chinese calendar n showed my horoscope,it all says \" Bunti\" ..

n now cuming down to the saying...My first ultrasound was done way back in the 6th week n it was 126 bpm.But Here I have a doubt daisy,whetehr u meant last ultrasound(ie done sumwhere in 13-16th week)or the first ultrasound(dun sumwhere between 6th -10th week)...?Do clear this doubt...So here again(if its 1st ultrasound) it says \" Bunty\" ,according to the saying..

n theresz one more saying here which we blv--ie while in the pregnancy if ur face starts glowing then its a \" Babli\" ..if otherwise then its Bunty...hmm my face aint glowing much..so ....bunty again.....anyways at the end it doesnt matter if its Bunty or babli..Just that it shd a be a very healthy n lucky baby:-)..thats all..hai na?

i don' t know what my baby' s heartbeat was... so i can' t say.... but at the last appointment i had it was 150.... so pretty much debatable.

i know.. it is so tempting to find out..... i actually convinced myself that there' s no harm in finding out...

ira Rakhi replied. well, in my case, i dont know how much my baby' s heartbeat was! so looks like i wont even be able to guess :( i agree that it cannot be relied upon but then again no harm in trying..moreover i even know of a frnd whose u/s said that she wud be having a boy but finally she had a girl..they had done the nursery n all the shopping for a boy! barish replied. hi daisy,

i think its a good chance to test the medical claim. though rose is also right that its not always right and u can' t rely on it.
well in my case also it was right. most of the time it was more than 140 but once it was lill low.
wot does ur baby' s heart beat say. plz let us know

Baby' s heart beat was very high started of with 177 and gradually reduced to 155. So in my case it was right.. But i heard this is medically not true.. but you have a starting point to guess :-)
