Waiting to try:am i pregnant?
2007-05-06
Name: preeti sharma

I am trying to get pregnant for the past 3 months. My PMS is regular (28days) I usually get sore breast and cramping just a week before my peroids start, no mood swings. MY next PMS is on the 7th of May and i have cramping, morning headache, major emotional mood swing but no sore breast, have been sleeping 12 hours a day, feel lazy all day. I started to Bleed on the 8th of may but it was very little and then it stopped after a couple of hours and next morning there was nothing. Can i say that i am pregnant?
I used ovulation kit to get those 2 ovulating days. And made love on those 2 days. I know i need to be patient but just curious to know.

hello preeti,
As babysos has mentioned,u could be pregnant,n that bleeding cud have been implantation bleeding.Atleast hoping that it cud be this..

But I didnt understand that 8th of may thingie..May be u meant 6th of may?Anyways as 2day is 7th of may,n still if u havent got ur periods, why dont u get a pregnancy test done tomorrow with ur first morning urine? This way u can be sure of things....So do take the test n let us know the result...

Hi Preeti,

You are most likely pregnant. The slight bleeding you described seems to be implantation bleeding. I think you made a mistake in the dates. It is 7th May today so you must have had this bleeding earlier. If you have used the ovulation kit then your chances of conception are high.

I have a question for you. I have been TTC since last month, started using the ovulation test for the 1st time this month since 3 days. I will be using the 4th test today. On what day of using the test did you know you were ovulating? So far my ovulation test has come up negative in the last 3 days. My cycles have been more or less within 32-35 days except for this last month, when I thought I had conceived naturally (i.e. without using the ovulation test kit) but in fact I suppose the anxiety of whether I had conceived or not delayed my period by a few more days. So please let me know how soon while testing ovulation did you get a positive result.

Did you buy the ovulation test in India? The one ! am using is from UK and I need to buy another soon in case I can' t conceive in this month' s attempt.

Thanks a ton and all the best to you. I hope you have conceived.

The reason why I am thinking of taking the medical approach after 6-8 months of trying is coz ideally I´ d like to have 2 kids by the time I´ m 32. My sister turned 32 last Dec and had just given birth to her 2nd baby. So it turned out well for her, touchwood! I don´ t see much of a problem in conceiving but just have to keep a back-up plan ready and be prepared for any possibility rather than be in denial. Yeah, it is definitely better to try naturally than worrying about why an ovulation kit is turning up negative. -) So that´ s what we´ re doing at the moment. I will keep you updated. Thanks!!

How are things shaping up for you?

hello babysos,
hmm 28yrs is not too much, coz ppl try 2 have kids evn at the age of 32+..Thats a diffrent thing its lil more riskier. But anyways like u said, consult doc,but only after 6-8 months of trying.U know what I feel,u wont need 2 consult doctor for this TTC process. But instead u´ ll consult ur gynaec for ur regular pregnancy check ups:-) coz u wud be pregnant soon:-)..

yes,ur doing evrything rite,so there r lot chances that u´ ll join due date board soon:-)

oh yeah white cervical mucus means ur ovulating or atleast ovulation is happning within a day or two...Forget that ovulation prediction kit,its better 2 know ur body by luking at its sign..I 2 followed this, along with BBT..n blv me it always turns positive.

anyways all the best n keep writing.
loads of luv

hey megs,

i´ m 28yrs 7months... since this is my 1st i would probably have to consult a GYN within 6-8 months of trying. Taking age into consideration, I really don´ t want to delay any further. I am cool about it but then don´ t want to take it tooooo lightly either.

I am eating healthy, exercising daily, have taken MMR & Hepatitis B shots, am taking Folic acid tablets daily so I am on the right path as of now. I doubt there should be any problem in conception other than the slightly irregular cycle.

I did get a white cervical discharge yesterday so I suppose I am ovulating though the ovulation test showed negative. Like I said, my hubby & I are trying regardless of what the test shows. You never know when it clicks! :-)

Thanks Megs! Will keep you updated on the progress.

Hugs,
Babysos

Thanks Megs & Preeti! I tested my ovulation again yesterday and yet again it came up negative so my husband & I have decided to keep trying, without the ovulation test, in these next 10 days no matter what. Also I am going to try the BBt method, Megs, coz it seems like a logical way for TTC. And at the end of it all, if it doesn´ t work, I will visit my GYN and use another approach. Thanks for the input, you guys!! Preeti, let me know what your pregnancy test says.

Hugs,
Babysos

Oh, i just checked my message, it was a typo:( not 8th it was the 5th of may.

I started using the ovulation kit on the 10th day after my periods and i got positive result on the 12th day. My PMS is 28 days so for me it was day 12 but for you it could be different because as you said your cycle is 32-35 days. I used FORTEL ovulation kit. It´ s available in Australia i don´ t know if you can get the same one in U.K
I am going to take the test tomorrow morning:) will let you know

Thanks to all:)

Hello babysos,
Well I dont have any idea of ovulation kits coz I didnt use them, but I can tell u I did chart my temperatures,n blv me,this was very gud.(First month itself it worked out for me).If u chart u cum 2 know in ur 2WW itself that ur pregnant or not, atleast most of the times?(atleast for me I came to know, coz I had my temperatures high in my luteal phase n also my chart had a triphasic pattern,So I knew that I wud be pregnant)..

Charting your BBTs is really pretty easy. Basically, what you are doing is taking your temperature first thing each day and plotting the temperature on a chart. What you are looking for is to see a shift of at least .4 degrees Fahrenheit after ovulation making your chart biphasic (showing low temperatures before ovulation ,increasein the follicular phase, and higher ones after ovulation in the luteal phase).

Anyways thisz just an idea, sum ppl do find this boring coz daily for one month u need to chart n that too at the same time daily. But anyways I njoyed this method coz it was positive for me in the first month itself...

anyways take care n all the best,n loads n loads of baby dust on u..
lotsa luv.

RE:Planning for a baby!
Hey, Hope you are doing well. Well don't Worry. Somethings are unplanned. You don't need to worry about it. When there will be right time for it, You will conceive. there is no fixed right time. Right time begins when we decide to do something. You just have to make your mind for it. And prepare yourself for it. Every time is right time. Don't take so much stress.
