Hi Shree Nayaka

I suggest you speak to your female colleagues who have had children while working with similar issues. Im sure they' ll be able to help. Since i am not in the IT/BPO industry i wouldn' t be of much help but i can definitely suggest you try and change your shift timings for overall health improvement in order to conceive.

Hope that helps.

Hi Shree...

It depends on your personal comfort level on whether you would like to continue working at night during pregnancy and after delivery. Generally, expectant mothers should be well rested. I suppose in your case you would have to catch up on rest during the day, which I am sure you are used to doing.

To answer your question regarding your previous abortion and taking complete bed rest in future pregnancy, I have heard that 2nd time pregnancy is always riskier for 1st time miscarriages/abortions. So yes, you may have to quit your job in order to safeguard your baby´ s and your health. About you being 5ft tall, I don´ t think that should be an issue at all unless of course, your doctor has specifically told you. Overall, I think you should consult you GYN at the earliest so all myths and facts are made clear.

Thank you for the suggestion, but i still have the problem-the process in which i am working has no chance of shift change...the only thing i can do is to search a day shift job. Some of them say its not a problem working at night. Actually i have already aborted my first child, 2 years ago, as i was not physically, mentally nor financial ready for it. Many even say that i might face problem, bcoz i aborted the first and I am just 5 feet tall, so i need to take complete bed rest, which means quit my job!..is it so?..that scares me even more.
