Due Date Club December 2004:Feeding meals

Hi moms,

My daughter likes to run around the house all the time and feeding is such a big chore for me. It takes more than 1 hr to feed her a meal, and she has changing likings for the food. I need to keep changing her menu to make her eat... What do you all do to make ur kid eat? Do you feed them in the high chair or let her explore and feed in between? Are your kids good eaters or it is the same case with all kids?

I was wondering what everybody is feeding ur kids. Please give me some menu ideas for breakfast, lunch and dinner. What all varieties I can feed. I give her egg but no other non-veg. I'm worried that I'm not giving her enough vegetables, since she doesn't eat properly... She hadn't put on any weight in her last doc appt. Please help.

Love to all busy toddlers and moms,
CK

Luckily I do not have such problems. But when Dhruv does not eat I make him sit with us for dinner and he also strats eating. He generally sits at one place playing and eats. He takes now full lunch ,dinner and milk twice.

CK, Rohini,

I guess these days feeding kids its a big job. Its the same with Muskan. She is running all over the house and then also doesn't eat properly.

I am also trying various things for her like poha, bread upma, bread butter, scrumbled egg, boiled egg, omlet, pranthi (stuffed and plain), fruits like apple, banana, orange, grapes, rice. in between meals some small snacks like, bhujia, boondi, namkeens... she does not like biscuits. Things that I have mentioned is what I try and to make her eat any of these takes more than an hour.

Above all, she does not take bottle and does not like milk at all so the problem for me is much more than any other mom. Hope these kids get better with their eating habbit soon.

Take care,

Shikha

Hi CK,
Guess we r in the same boat......feeding my son is becoming difficult day by day......he doesn't want to sit in the high chair at all.He doesn't like to eat roti anymore.....he only eats pasta or rice but that too with lot of pestering.....
At times he wants to eat all by himself using the spoon......so hardly anything goes in his mouth as he spills everything and creates a mess....
So I am myself here in need of some recipes or ideas to help me with my sons eating probs.....
